Dominique Ryan is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Dominique has over five years of experience in healthcare working in various settings. She has experience working with individuals of all ages and has been passionate about serving veterans by working as a nurse at the VA. Dominique is an advocate for mental health awareness and reducing stigma; before pursuing nursing she studied behavioral health at USF. Dominique obtained her associate’s degree from Hillsborough Community College, a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from South University and a Master’s degree in nursing from Walden University. Dominique has experience treating a variety of mental health conditions including major depressive disorder, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and substance abuse. She is experienced in conducting psychiatric evaluations, providing medication management, and offering care coordination. Dominique is passionate about evidence-based practice and utilizing the latest guidelines and recommendations in her practice. She offers person-centered care and often uses evidence-based holistic treatment modalities as complementary therapy. She is experienced in motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy. She is an advocate for utilizing mind-body practices such as yoga and meditation.
